Map of Kefalonia

For people who have never visited the island before, a map of the island can be helpful in planning activities, or just for seeing where they are going to be located on their Kefalonia holidays.

Some tourists will choose destinations without much knowledge of the town or village where they are heading and a map of Kefalonia can be helpful.

Shown is the airport for you to be able to judge how far it is from there to your hotel or villa – there are a good number of flights available, and often there are deals to be found for Kefalonia flights

One of the many good things about the island is that for holiday accommodation visitors are spoiled for choice.

While some go for traditional hotels, there are a good number of people who choose villa holidays as well.

Also there are some terrific hotel prices to be had at the moment for various Kefalonia hotels and these can be booked either seperately or as part of a package – check the Kefalonia map above to see where they are located on the island.

For those who prefer their independence, pool and facilities there’s a good range of villas available with James Villas

The most popular time for a visit to the island is between the end of March – depending upon when Easter falls - and mid October, and all the main holiday resorts on a map of Kefalonia are open then, and the weather is normally glorious.

The warmest months are July and August, and normally the most expensive for flights and hotels, but the weather can be even better in the second half of May, June and September. The Kefalonia weather helps make it what it is for holidaymakers, and they know when they look at a Kefalonia map that unless they’re really unlucky the sunshine will be waiting for them.

When you get out a Kefalonia map and look where to go and are considering a villa holiday, it’s worthwhile looking for one with a pool – but if you have young children remember this might not be a good idea and due consideration should be given whether a villa is really appropriate until they are older and can get themselves out of difficulties in water.

A good time to visit for Kefalonia villa holidays is late May and June when the rates are lower than the peak summer months of July and August – but this is true of most Mediterranean locations, including for example when you look at the prices for Majorca villa holidays
